Browns have multiple locations across the country and Leeds' own has recently had a fancy new refurbishment. Not only this, they've also introduced their wonderful Spring menu, and more importantly, cocktail list.
This was my first visit since the refurb and I was also looking forward to sampling their food for the first time.

Let's start with the cocktails because well, on the night we certainly did.
There were a selection of cocktails featuring seasonal herbs and GIN was firmly on the menu. I had the pleasure of creating my own gin basil smash and safe to say, it looked and tasted pretty great.
Others we sampled included a classic English Garden T&T and the rather more elaborate Spring Green Sour (made with sugar snap peas, I kid you not.)
The food we sampled included an incredible seafood platter (I had mussels for the first time: spoiler, I didn't mind them) and all the calamari. We were then offered an assortment of canapés including chicken and satay sauce, pork and apple sauce and beetroot hummus and feta on fried bread.
It was a colourful assortment of Spring food items and coupled with the pretty cocktails and wonderful company, the evening was definitely an enjoyable experience.
Browns makes a great event space due to sheer size and customer service and the Leeds city central location is ideal for after-work drinks. It's likely there's a restaurant local to you too, so check out their website for your nearest.
We'll definitely be heading back this year to taste some more of the fab menu, and maybe have a pea-inspired drink or two. Thanks to the Browns team for being so accommodating and in particular, Steve for teaching us some strong cocktail-making skills!
