Rimmel Makeup including foundation, powder and concealer

I ventured into Boots and went to the makeup counter for the first time in ages this week.

This is because:

A. It's been a while since I've had any money
B. I recently broke my pressed powder (sigh)

And lo and behold, it's currently 3 for 2 on makeup so this meant I could grab a few things for even less. Don't even get me started on Boots points, you should know by now how much I love 'em.

Rimmel are my ultimate favourite high street brand after the Boots No7 range so the following are from that counter alone; my purse wouldn't let me go any further afield!

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation (True Ivory)
Boots £8.99

'Wake Me Up' Rimmel Makeup foundation

I don't have any excuse as to why I have never tried this. It's repeated constantly in makeup bags and daily makeup routines and Zoella vlogs yet I've never bothered buying it. Because the sunshine is here (and hopefully staying) I decided to go for something a bit brighter.

This seemed the best shade out of the testers and anything that says 'anti-fatigue' screams out to me and my dark circles. I have SO MUCH hope for this!

Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer (Ivory)
Boots £5.49

'Wake Me Up' concealer review by Rimmel Makeup

What better concealer to get than the one that matches your foundation...?
I chose the lighter 'Ivory' in this because as I say, dark circles and all. These are my favourite kind of concealers - liquid, soft brush tip applicator, value for money etc.

Rimmel London Lasting Finish Powder (Soft Beige)
Boots £6.99

Rimmel Makeup - close up of translucent powder

For as long as I've been wearing makeup, I've used the Rimmel 'Stay Matte' powder and it does the trick and it's mega cheap.

I do find I have to reapply once or twice a day, depending how long my day ends up being and whether I decide Monday night drinking is a sensible idea or not (note to self: It's not. Ever.)

I knew I'd be getting the cheapest item free due to the Boots offer, so opted for something in a similar price bracket to the concealer to get my money's worth. The 25hr promise appealed to me and unlike my normal 'transparent' shade, I wanted a bit more colour for Spring.

Do you use any of these and if so, what do you think?
